The world first bitcoin fund manager has announced that he is joining the investment banking ranks with a fund that invests in cryptocurrencies, ethereum and other cryptocurrencies.
According to an article by The Financial Times, the firm called RBS Crypto Capital is based in the UK and has more than 50 employees.
The company will now work with clients in the US and Europe, including the likes of Microsoft, Google, Amazon and eBay.RBS Crypto is the first of many bitcoin and blockchain based investment funds to join the growing market.
Last year, Bitcoin Investment Trust raised $1.1 billion in funding, bringing its total to $1 billion.RBC Crypto is a global hedge fund with an initial investment of $100 million.
It has already raised $2 billion from other investors and is expected to announce another $2.2 billion in investments in the coming weeks.
